Continuing education in pelvic floor rehabilitation over 28 years
After six years working in a rehabilitation centre mainly with patients affected by neurological conditions, I discovered the relatively new and very well known approach, at the time, involving the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions. That was a turning point, and I decided to participate in the development of this new approach in physiotherapy. It became important for me to inform women about these physiotherapy treatments and to let the different health professionals know about this expertise. I got involved in different committees with the OPPPQ, did numerous presentations for the public and for my peers. I also teach a course for physiotherapists about pessaries, for pelvic organ prolapse.
I have been practicing perineal and pelvic floor rehabilitation for almost 28 years, first in Montreal for 26 years and now in the Laurentians for over 4 years. Come meet me in Morin Heights.
